Living on the edge of the desert, trees are not taken for granted.
In the early 1950's eucalyptus groves were planted between the fields
as windbreaks.  In the 90's with the introduction of moving irrigation
machines (see abstractions of these monsters  on page 17),  many of
these boulevards became an obstacle for the machines.

Thus many of these dear trees were sadly uprooted.
The grove in the above painting is no more.
