the art ofRon Gang "the Mandala Series"
These paintings are built up mainly from Arabic Calligraphy,
the well-known sentence from the Hadith, the
authenticated aphorisms of Muhammad,
"He who knows his self knows his Lord
(Man `arafa nafsuhu `arafa rabbuhu)."
In
a few paintings, is added from the Bhagavad Gita, in Sanskrit,
Chapter
Six, Verse 29,.""He
whose self is established in Yoga,
whose
vision everywhere is even, sees the Self in all beings,
and all
beings in the Self (Sarababhutasthamatmanam
Sarbabhutani
Chatmani !! Ikshyate Yogyuktatma
Sarabatra
Samdarsana)."
The
use
of quotes from different traditions
comes
to emphasize the universality
of
Truth.
We are all children of
the
Creator, no matter to
what
culture
or nation
we
"belong".
