The
Gully
On the way to the Habesor
Canyon
is a gully,
Known as "wadi ashpa"
(garbage
gully),
it had once served as a
rubbish
dump.
It has been cleaned up, and
trees
have been planted.
The yearly winter rains
continually
erode
and deepen it, and as it
nears
the
Habesor, it develops into
wild "badlands".
Needless to say, it
provides
the local artist with an
inexhaustible source of
subjects
to work from.
