Amateur radio license exam study groups in the North

Following the great demand, as evidenced by the present course in Herzliya, the IARC is working towards opening two additional amateur radio license exam study groups in the north: The first, in the Tel-Hai college and the second in the Haifa region. Anyone interested in joining a similar study group in the central region in about three months time , should also call Danny at the above mentioned telephone number.

Membership Card 2013

Greetings to everyone. Last call for those interested in a 2013 membership card in this year (2012)!!!! Happily, about 200 members have already paid their 2013 membership dues including those with standing orders with their banks. In a few more days we are sending the lists of those with complete personal information including a photo, license number and ID (te'udat zehut) number for the printing the first batch of membership cards. We are presently working towards the goal we set ourselves to have in our hands the membership cards of those who have already paid by December 31st. Please help us keep our goal. Those who have paid but are not sure that the above details are with the treasurer are requested to make sure, as their cards will not be printed unless a card is specifically requested with incomplete details. Friends, there is no sense to wait (unless there is a serious reason) to be included only in the second printing of cards a few months after the beginning of the year.

We also have the honor to invite you for the 21 time in a row, to participate in the annual Holyland contest. Each year, more radio amateurs from all continents & countries world wide, participate in this extraordinary contest. Each one hopes to add some new squares to his existing collection in order to obtain the most exquisite Award. Therefore, it is with the greatest pleasure that, we announce the Holyland Contest 2012, And invite all Radio Amateurs and Short Wave Listeners, to participate. Please Your attention to the Contest starting time: This years contest will start on Friday 20 and end on Saturday 21 April 2012 from 21.00 UTC until 21.00 UTC. Special Trophies and New certificates will be issued to participating Radio Amateurs and SWL’s for different classes and modes of operation. We are happy to announce that last years, digital modes were a huge success as well, and will continue with this mode in the present contest. As usual, we invite, the entire Amateur Radio Community to be on the bands, knowing full well, that propagation at times is not in our favor, nevertheless we will demonstrate and exercise, the spirit of friendship between all Radio Amateurs.
